When light and shadow collide, which spark survives?
In the red dust of Mofolo East, Mandla and Thulani grew as childhood friends and classmates – one bound to the grid, the other to ideas. Mandla, the pragmatist, keeps the city alive with light and power. Thulani, the dreamer, seeks truth in words but finds philosophy cannot warm a cold room. When their paths collide, Mandla must choose between duty and memory, between the hand that builds and the soul that questions. The Circuit and the Soul is a visceral story of friendship, fracture, and the braided thread that binds South Africa’s builders and dreamers. It asks: where does progress truly live – in the workshop, the lecture hall, or the fragile space where they meet?
